Account Executive - Commercial Lines, Insurance
About The Position
Provident Protection Plus (PPP), the insurance subsidiary of Provident Bank, is a full-service insurance agency providing commercial and personal insurance solutions, consultative risk-management expertise, and tailored coverage solutions. The Account Executive – Commercial Lines Insurance supports Account Managers in the Commercial Lines department, services and manages a dedicated book of business, and works with clients and insurance carriers on renewals, policy changes, billing inquiries, and ongoing account needs. The role supports the department’s service standards and daily workflow, handling client account management tasks and an assigned workload. The position may be based in Waldwick, New Jersey, or Augusta, New Jersey. Work is performed in a normal office environment with usually moderate noise levels. The role may involve travel to customer and property locations. Hazards are mainly those found in a normal office setting and while commuting by car, with occasional exposure to conditions in public forums and meeting places. Physical activities include prolonged sitting, lifting items weighing 5 to 10 pounds, and occasional bending or overhead lifting. The role is incentive eligible based on company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance. Requirements
- At least 2 years of insurance industry experience, including managing or supporting a book of business.
- Active Property & Casualty license required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong customer service and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Organized, collaborative, and service-focused approach.
- Working knowledge of Windows-based software.
- Ability to build effective relationships with clients, carriers, and underwriters.
Nice To Haves
- Commercial Lines insurance experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Risk Management degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Service and manage a dedicated book of commercial lines accounts, including renewals, audits, cancellations, policy changes, billing inquiries, and client and carrier communications.
- Update client files, respond to client correspondence, and provide administrative and operational support to Commercial Lines team members across multiple office locations as needed.
- Process billing for agency-billed policies and assist with direct-billed policies when required.
- Retrieve and manage policy documentation from carrier portals to support account servicing.
- Prepare summaries of insurance and related materials for internal and client meetings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may change at management’s direction.
