Account Associate - Industrial Water Treatment
About The Position
Veolia is seeking an entry-level Account Associate in its Chemical Solutions and Monitoring (CSM) division. The role supports experienced Account Managers while developing foundational expertise in chemical water and process treatment. The associate works with customers across varied industries and gains hands-on experience in technical analysis, customer service, and water treatment technologies. This is a field-based position supporting customers throughout southwestern Kansas. Work takes place directly at customer sites rather than at a Veolia Water Technologies office. The position includes mentoring, technical and commercial training, and a path toward advancement to Account Representative.
Requirements
- Interest in chemical water and process treatment.
- A full, valid driver's license and willingness to travel; a learner's permit or G1/G2 class does not qualify.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Proficiency in mathematical calculations and chemistry concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a mentoring environment.
- Comfort learning in industrial environments.
- Enthusiasm for environmental sustainability and water treatment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed; frequency varies by worksite.
- Must be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; the employer will not sponsor work authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Engineering/Technology (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical); preferred.
- Recent graduate or candidate with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong academic background or internship experience in technical fields and/or industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Shadow Account Managers to learn chemical treatment programs for cooling water, boiler water, wastewater, Memchem, and process applications.
- Collect and run samples, evaluate treatment data, and assist in preparing technical reports under Account Manager supervision.
- Complete technical training programs on chemical applications and water treatment processes.
- Assist with customer visits and service calls.
- Maintain customer records, assist with sample scheduling, and support account documentation.
- Prepare preliminary technical reports and data summaries for Account Manager review and approval.
- Follow EHS policies and procedures and learn safe work practices in industrial settings.
