About The Position

Daikin is seeking students for its Accelerated Management Program (AMP) to provide the tools needed for success within the company. This twelve-month program offers hands-on experience from the ground up, allowing participants to explore different facets of the company. The AMP includes two focuses: Branch Operations and Outside Sales Track. The Branch Operations focus includes Counter Sales, Warehouse experience, and Inside/Showroom Sales, with additional aspects like developing leadership skills, providing pricing and inventory information, and building relationships. The Outside Sales Focus involves driving business development and prospecting, with fast-track training into outside sales with an actual territory. Participants will learn about managing customer priorities, meeting demand for quick response times, on-site solutions, and on-time complete delivery, as well as managing sales functions for existing and prospective customers. The program also includes a visit to the corporate location in Houston, TX for networking and relationship building with corporate leaders and support teams. Other aspects of the Outside Sales focus include new business development, meeting sales goals, and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Must graduate December 2026 - May 2027.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Sales, Entrepreneurial Studies (or similar).
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA (overall and major).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make informed and timely decisions.
  • Efficient time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Effective negotiation skills to manage contracts, partnerships, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle unexpected challenges.
  • Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to understand and manage budgets, financial statements, and cost analysis.
  • Understanding customer needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must have long term flexibility in location within the region (but national opportunities may be available as well) and be willing to relocate for career opportunity upon completion of program.
