About The Position

Daikin is seeking students for its Accelerated Management Program (AMP) with a focus on Sales. This twelve-month program offers hands-on experience and exploration of various company facets. The program includes two tracks: Branch Operations and Outside Sales. The Branch Operations focus includes Counter Sales, Warehouse experience, and Inside/Showroom Sales, developing leadership skills, pricing, inventory management, and customer relationships. The Outside Sales focus involves business development, prospecting, managing an actual sales territory, understanding customer priorities, and learning sales functions for existing and prospective customers. Participants will also attend training at the corporate location in Houston, TX to network with leaders and support teams. The program emphasizes new business development, meeting sales goals, and building stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

  • Must graduate December 2026 - May 2027.

  • Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to understand and manage budgets, financial statements, and cost analysis.
  • Understanding customer needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Sales, Entrepreneurial Studies (or similar).
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA (overall and major).
  • Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Work hands-on from the ground up and be provided with the opportunity to explore the facets of our company that could fit your personal skills and interests.
  • Work face-to-face with customers while gaining product knowledge and learning our systems and processes.
  • Gain hands-on experience with our products, including shipping and receiving materials.
  • Further develop the daily skills needed to become a successful Branch leader, while building relationships with our customers and sales force.
  • Develop leadership skills, provide accurate pricing and inventory information, and develop and maintain relationships.
  • Help drive business development and prospecting.
  • Start fast-track training into outside sales with an actual territory in one of designated markets.
  • Learn the importance of meeting the customer’s demand for quick response times, on-site solutions, and on-time complete delivery.
  • Focus time on learning how to manage all sales functions for existing and prospective customers.
  • Visit our corporate location in Houston, TX to network and build relationships with corporate leaders and other support teams.
  • Focus on new business development, meeting sales goals, and building relationships with key stakeholders.
