About The Position

Daikin is seeking students to join their Accelerated Management Program (AMP) for a twelve-month program. This program offers hands-on experience from the ground up, allowing participants to explore different facets of the company. The AMP includes two focuses: Branch Operations and Outside Sales Track. The program aims to provide participants with the tools needed for success within the company and is designed for individuals seeking a career rather than just a job. Requirements

  • Must graduate December 2026 - May 2027.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to make informed and timely decisions.
  • Efficient time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Effective negotiation skills to manage contracts, partnerships, and conflict resolution.

  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle unexpected challenges.
  • Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to understand and manage budgets, financial statements, and cost analysis.
  • Understanding customer needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Sales, Entrepreneurial Studies (or similar).
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA (overall and major).
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must have long term flexibility in location within the region (but national opportunities may be available as well) and be willing to relocate for career opportunity upon completion of program.

Responsibilities

  • Work face-to-face with customers while gaining product knowledge and learning our systems and processes (Counter Sales).
  • Gain hands-on experience with our products, including shipping and receiving materials (Warehouse).
  • Further develop the daily skills needed to become a successful Branch leader, while building relationships with our customers and sales force (Inside/Showroom Sales).
  • Develop leadership skills.
  • Provide accurate pricing and inventory information.
  • Develop and maintain relationships.
  • Help drive business development and prospecting.
  • Start fast-track training into outside sales with an actual territory in one of designated markets.
  • Learn the importance of meeting customer demand for quick response times, on-site solutions, and on-time complete delivery.
  • Manage all sales functions for existing and prospective customers.
  • Visit the corporate location in Houston, TX to network and build relationships with corporate leaders and other support teams.
  • Focus on new business development.
  • Meet sales goals.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders.
