About The Position

BridgePrep Academy Polk County is seeking a dedicated 4th Grade ELA & Social Studies Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The school, supported by SMART Management, describes its learning environment as nurturing and high-performing, with Spanish language immersion, classroom technology, and character development. The teacher will support students’ reading, writing, and social studies learning and help prepare them for middle school.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• A valid or eligible Florida Educator Certificate in Elementary Education (Grades K–6) or English (Grades 5–9).
• Ability to successfully pass a Level 2 Florida Care Provider Background Screening.

Nice To Haves

• ESOL Endorsement or Certification.
• Reading Endorsement.
• Prior upper-elementary teaching experience.
• Familiarity with Florida B.E.S.T. ELA standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver interactive, standards-aligned reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and social studies lessons.
• Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom where students feel valued, capable, and motivated.
• Differentiate instruction and use data-driven small groups to support diverse learning styles, English Language Learners, and varied reading levels.
• Participate in professional development, weekly team planning, and instructional coaching.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with families.
