2026-27 3rd Grade Math & Science Teacher
About The Position
BridgePrep Academy Polk is seeking a 3rd Grade Math & Science Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher will provide standards-aligned mathematics instruction and hands-on science lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and numerical fluency, while preparing students for upper-elementary and middle school success. The school offers a nurturing, high-performing learning environment supported by Spanish language immersion, classroom technology, and character development. The role includes creating a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom; differentiating instruction for diverse learning needs, English Language Learners, and varied academic proficiency levels; and working with colleagues, families, instructional coaches, and campus leadership. The position is based at BridgePrep Academy Polk, 2045 Florence Villa Grove Rd, Davenport, FL 33897, and reports to the Principal or Campus Administrator.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Valid or eligible Florida Educator Certificate in Elementary Education (Grades K–6).
- Ability to successfully pass a Level 2 Florida Care Provider Background Screening.
Nice To Haves
- ESOL Endorsement or Certification.
- Reading Endorsement.
- Prior upper-elementary teaching experience.
- Familiarity with Florida B.E.S.T. Mathematics and State Science Standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver interactive, standards-aligned mathematics lessons.
- Deliver hands-on science lessons that spark curiosity and develop critical thinking.
- Build students’ numerical fluency.
- Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom where students feel valued, capable, and motivated.
- Differentiate instruction and use data-driven small groups to support diverse learning styles, English Language Learners, and varied academic proficiency levels.
- Participate in professional development, weekly team planning, and instructional coaching.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with families.
