About The Position

The Production Supervisor supervises warehouse and production staff, providing training and performance oversight while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. The supervisor plans and coordinates daily operations by assigning work, monitoring schedules, and maintaining production and quality requirements. The role drives efficiency by resolving issues, improving processes, and collaborating with other departments.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in general education, another focus, or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and interest.
Fluency in English, both written and oral.
Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, and customary business documents, and to present information effectively and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, and customers in small or large groups.
Ability to solve practical problems involving a variety of concrete variables where limited standardization exists.
Ability to analyze and interpret general business or financial reports, professional journals, or technical procedures presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise production and warehouse employees in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including training, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct machine setup and adjustments.
Review production schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements to complete assigned jobs.
Interpret company policies for workers and enforce safety regulations.
Interpret specifications and job orders for workers and assign duties.
Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Suggest changes to working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency.
Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in resolving them.
Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintain time and production records.
Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities across departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
