About The Position

Jennie-O is hiring a 1st Shag Driver/Forklift Operator in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. The position moves and fuels trailers, operates an outside forklift, performs inspections and inventories, and completes required paperwork. The role requires safe truck-and-trailer operation, trailer hookup and unhooking, and communication with drivers and supply-chain teams. Employees work 8–10 hours per shift and weekends as scheduled, in temperatures ranging from 38–50 degrees or 60–90 degrees depending on the department. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements

Drive and back a truck and trailer safely into bays.
Read schedules and vehicle inspection reports.
Operate a forklift.
Hook and unhook trailers, including cranking landing gear up and down throughout the shift.
Follow company food safety and employee safety rules.
Maintain good attendance.
Work with team members.
Accept responsibility and challenges, and deal positively with adversity.
Work well with minimal supervision.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Move and fuel trailers.
Operate an outside forklift.
Perform pre-operational inspections of trucks and trailers.
Complete trailer inventory.
Read inventory sheets and log supplies.
Complete required paperwork.
Complete forklift and pallet jack training and certification.
Communicate with all areas of the supply chain and with drivers in a courteous and friendly manner.
Work 8–10 hours per shift and weekends as scheduled.
Work in temperatures ranging from 38–50 degrees or 60–90 degrees depending on the department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
