About The Position
This role is critical in fabricating and assembling structural components using MIG welding techniques, ensuring precision, durability, and compliance with engineering specifications.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Familiarity with structural welding codes and standards (AWS D1.1 or equivalent).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and workplace safety practices.
Nice To Haves
- AWS certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic welding tasks under supervision (MIG, Stick, or Flux-Core)
- Read and follow simple blueprints and work instructions
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting components
- Conduct basic weld inspections for appearance and obvious defects
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
- Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements
- All other duties assigned.
