About The Position
The Class B Welder is responsible for assembling, repairing, and fabricating metal components using various welding techniques to produce high-quality, structurally sound products. This Class B Welder role requires the ability to read blueprints, interpret technical drawings, and perform precision welding in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Strong understanding of welding safety practices and procedures
- Experience with grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting materials
- Ability to perform quality inspections on finished welds
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- High School Diploma or GED required
Nice To Haves
- Welding certification from an accredited institution (preferred)
- Experience with aluminum welding or heavy equipment manufacturing
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality systems
Responsibilities
- Perform quality welds according to blueprints and specifications
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, drilling, and fitting components
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and structural integrity
- Perform modifications, repairs, and assembly work as needed
- Monitor equipment and maintain proper operating conditions
- Support additional fabrication processes such as riveting and small part assembly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
