The purpose of this job is to weld fabricated pipe components; meeting product specifications and quality requirements by applying appropriate welding techniques. This role involves Mig & Tig welding, with a preference for AWS certification. The welder will be responsible for welding thin wall tube applications and experience welding 3 and 4 series stainless steel and carbon steel is required. Tasks include welding spare parts in various directions (flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead), clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding parts to meet technical and quality requirements. The welder will control fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid issues like overheating or distortion, and will examine finished products to ensure they meet specifications. Responsibilities also include preparing and setting up welding tools and equipment, working within a team, and potentially training new welders. Good mechanical knowledge and the ability to read blueprints are required. The role may involve contact with hazardous chemicals and requires environmental responsibility, including proper waste disposal.
