About The Position

BlueScope is seeking skilled and detail-oriented individuals to join their team as Welders. This role involves fabricating and repairing metal into high-quality components. The company welcomes candidates of all backgrounds and offers training and growth opportunities in a dynamic environment. A $3000 sign-on bonus is offered, with $1500 at 90 days and $1500 at the 1-year mark. The pay for this position is $28.58/hour plus a $2/hour shift differential for the Sunday night to Friday morning shift (10:00 pm - 6:00 am), with some overtime required.

Ability to keep track of material inventory and perform machine maintenance.

Responsibilities

Operate machines to cut, punch, bend, weld, or shape materials into specified components.
Set up machines and confirm specifications using drawings, blueprints, tablets, or other tools.
Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts.
Utilize measuring tools and processes to perform inspections before, during, and after production to ensure materials meet exact specifications.
Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
Keep track of material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, such as 5-S practices.
