About The Position
Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Substitute Teacher for their SBCH Child Care Center department. This role is responsible for working with groups of children in a classroom setting, providing nurturing care, implementing a creative, age-appropriate curriculum, and offering information and support to families.
Requirements
- Minimum: 12 ECE units and at least 6 months of teaching experience; OR A Child Development Associate Teacher Permit and at least 6 months of teaching experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and basic email functions.
- Minimum: 1 year teaching experience with applicable age group.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred: 3 units in Infant/Toddler care, and Resources for Infant Educator (RIE) I or Reggio Emilia training.
- Preferred: American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid Heartsaver Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Preferred: 2 years with applicable age group including Lab School experience.
