About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Stationary Engineer licensure.
• Act 34 clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of medium- or high-pressure boiler plant experience.
• Two years of healthcare maintenance experience.
• General knowledge of email, Word, and other common software programs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and related building infrastructure.
• Conduct chemical analysis and treatment of steam, condensate, and water systems.
• Maintain detailed temperature, boiler, chemical, fire pump, and alarm logs and reports.
• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and piping systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, fans, motors, pneumatics, and patient care devices.
• Operate the Siemens Building Automation System and respond to system alerts or failures.
• Collaborate with electrical, carpentry, refrigeration, and other maintenance teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and hospital policies.
• Participate in emergency response efforts and mandatory training sessions.
• Recommend procedural improvements and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, communication, and customer service.
• Maintain a valid Class A Stationary Engineer’s license issued by the City of Pittsburgh and a current Pennsylvania driver’s license.
