As a Security Officer County Hospital in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Security Officer supporting a government healthcare location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to visitors, staff, and patients. This driving position offers the opportunity to represent Allied Universal’s caring, reliable culture through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while helping promote a welcoming environment.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and support compliance with facility access procedures and visitor-management requirements.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrol observations, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
