About The Position

Palisade Defense Security is seeking professional, reliable, and experienced Armed Security Officers to join our growing team. The Armed Security Officer is responsible for protecting clients, employees, visitors, and property while maintaining a safe and secure environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong observation skills, sound judgment, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to professionalism. Officers must be able to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to security incidents while representing Palisade Defense Security with integrity and professionalism. Unarmed applicants will not be considered for this position.

Requirements

  • Valid Nevada Armed PILB Work Card.
  • Previous experience as an Armed Security Officer, Military, Law Enforcement, Corrections, or related field.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating surveillance and access control systems.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience writing detailed incident reports.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of assigned properties.
  • Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems.
  • Verify that doors, gates, windows, and access points are secure.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized personnel enter the property.
  • Check identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Enforce client and company policies.
  • Remove trespassers or unauthorized individuals when necessary.
  • Protect client assets, property, and personnel from theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, and emergencies.
  • Investigate incidents and gather information for reports.
  • Contact law enforcement, emergency services, or management when appropriate.
  • Assist with evacuations and emergency procedures when required.
  • Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs).
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and witness statements.
  • Maintain logs of patrols, visitors, and security-related events.
