As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Agent in Warwick, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized entry, support visitor screening processes, and follow post orders related to patient care areas and restricted spaces.
  • Assist with de-escalation support, directional assistance, and general public interactions while maintaining awareness of potential hazards and/or policy violations within the location.
