As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, donors, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Document incidents, observations, patrol activity, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate them to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
