Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed guard card for Texas only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support loss prevention efforts, access control practices, and other security-related post duties.
  • Carry authorized armed post equipment in accordance with site policies, Allied Universal guidelines, and applicable laws while maintaining professional presence and readiness.
