About The Position

This role assists with the process to gather, compile, and summarize medical staff quality data used for care evaluation and to identify recommendations for improvement. The position facilitates the clinical evaluation process, including the utilization and analysis of data and sensitive information to support medical staff recommendations and actions. It also facilitates the process for focus and ongoing performance evaluation of physicians and contributes to ensuring compliance with Joint Commission medical staff standards and participating in the survey process. The role assists with physician quality profiles necessary for reappointment and aids in coordinating Medical Staff Patient Care Committees that evaluate the quality of care provided and patient outcomes. Additionally, it assists with other Quality Improvement efforts as directed by the Quality Resource department, is responsible for establishing effective and collaborative relationships with physician leadership and physician advisors, and ensures the integrity of data submitted/reported. Participation with quality committees and initiatives is also expected.

Requirements

  • Active KY Registered nurse license
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical performance improvement
  • BSN required
  • Experience as a facilitator in managing sensitive data and issues with staff and physicians
