About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, and height gauges.
• Understanding of mechanical drawings, dimensioning, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Detail-oriented and meticulous approach to work.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude and desire to contribute.

Nice To Haves

• Strong CMM operating knowledge.
• Experience with a broad variety of inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections and dimensional checks on complex machined parts and assemblies.
• Inspect raw materials for suitability for machining.
• Work with engineers and programmers to set up CMM inspection instructions for new parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Work with the QA Manager to determine the proper disposition of rejected material.
• Scan and track work in Visual.
• Maintain required records and prepare inspection paperwork.
• Write and update inspection methods for approval by the QA Manager or lead inspector.
• Maintain measuring equipment and inspection fixture requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Manage workflow with attention to efficiency and quality.
