About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work at Milwaukee, WI. This is a PRN/Per Diem position, meaning hours will be "as needed" and the start and end times will vary. In this role, you will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc., and perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. You will also process billing information and collect payments when required, prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis, and maintain patient and specimen information logs. Providing superior customer service to all patients is essential, along with performing administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites may be required. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
