About The Position
The Phlebotomist/Processor collects, transports, and processes laboratory specimens.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Some experience or training in phlebotomy or laboratory science is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures according to departmental procedures.
- Accurately label and prepare specimens for testing or transport.
- Complete requisitions and manage specimen receipt using computer systems.
- Deliver specimens to testing areas.
- Maintain equipment and assist with problem-solving related to patient draws and orders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and departmental policies.
- Conduct inventory checks
- Train new employees
- Maintain a safe work environment.
