As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be responsible for retrieving medication from stock, counting and packaging orders for pharmacist review, maintaining workstations with adequate supplies, removing outdated products from shelves, assisting with inventory replenishment, and maintaining par levels of pre-packaged auxiliary items. Occasionally you may be asked to reach out to patients for customer service calls as well as making inquiries on orders shipped.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Active and unrestricted State NHA PhT license
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for entire shift, a lot of walking, bending, and lifting throughout shift with intermittent breaks
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older

Nice To Haves

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
  • Experience navigating through Microsoft Office Suite
  • Team Player
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment – Warehouse is climate controlled
  • Has previously worked or is currently working as a contractor placed at UHG or one of its subsidiaries or affiliates

Responsibilities

  • Process and fill prescription orders in preparation for pharmacist verification
  • Dispense any or all of the following: tablets/capsules, unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, IV, and related supplies following state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Some packing and shipping of completed prescription orders to patients
  • Maintain drug inventory and automated dispensing units
  • Replenish workstation supplies for filling prescriptions as needed (includes vials, caps, labels, etc.)
