About The Position
Abbott Elementary has an innovative afterschool education program that uses machine learning and AI to provide students with a more holistic learning experience. We are seeking dedicated Paraprofessionals to support our instructional team in delivering high-quality, inclusive programming.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to connect with students from diverse cultural, religious, and social backgrounds.
- Ability to follow direction from lead instructors and work collaboratively as part of a program team.
- Must successfully pass a background check and reference check prior to placement.
Nice To Haves
- associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior experience working with K–12 students in a classroom, tutoring, or youth program setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support lead instructors in delivering daily lesson plans and classroom activities aligned to the program curriculum.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those with diverse learning needs, to ensure full participation and comprehension.
- Assist with classroom management, maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
- Help facilitate AI and technology-based learning activities under the direction of the lead instructor.
- Communicate regularly with program staff regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns.
