About The Position

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
• Must have completed Nursing Fundamentals coursework
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
• Demonstrated professionalism and accountability
• Ability to follow clinical instructions and procedures

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Shadow and observe daily patient care activities within the hospice unit.
• Participate in routine unit operations.
• Gain exposure to care planning, treatment plans, and discharge processes.
• Interact with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to understand collaborative care delivery.
• Complete assigned tasks as directed by nursing staff.
• Maintain professional behavior and communication.
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols including proper hand hygiene and standard precautions.
• Attend required orientation and training programs.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that respects the cultural, spiritual, and individual needs of patients and their families.
