About The Position

Maintains a safe environment for patient, unit, and coworkers. Contributes to a positive work environment and the overall effort of the hospital to provide excellent customer service. Provides direct patient care with appropriate documentation under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Always acts in accordance to State Nurse Practice Act, and accepts no inappropriate delegated assignments. Assists licensed personnel by completing supportive functions for maximum patient outcomes. Assists licensed personnel by providing activities related to the plan of care to improve customer satisfaction and provide optimal outcomes. Contributors to the delivery of quality, cost-effective healthcare. Performs related responsibilities as required or directed. Meets mandatory requirements as determined by hospital policy and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Nursing student with successful completion of minimally one semester of a NLN accredited Associate's Degree program or four semesters of a NLN accredited Bachelor's Degree program.
• Attends all mandatory hospital in-services (i.e. Safety, Infection Control, BLS).
• Completion of hospital and unit orientation.
• Must have current CPR card.
