About The Position

Under the direction of a licensed RN, the Graduate Extern assists with patient assessment and with formulating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for the ICU patient population. The role works as part of the healthcare team to promote a world-class patient care environment. Good Samaritan Hospital describes itself as a healthcare provider serving southwest Indiana and southwest Illinois, with a history of more than 115 years. The hospital is a four-time designated Magnet facility, a TJC Primary Stroke Center, and a Level III Trauma Center.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited ASN or BSN nursing program.
Preparing for the NCLEX in the immediate future.
Actively pursuing Indiana RN licensure.
Patient-first attitude.
Team player with excellent communication skills, common sense, and computer skills.
