About The Position

Join the team as a full-time, day-shift Registered Nurse on Medical Surgical Unit 1 in Harker Heights, Texas. The nurse plans and delivers direct and indirect patient care, develops nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff as needed, and communicates changes in patients’ clinical conditions to physicians, the Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and coworkers as appropriate. Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services, and other services. Requirements

  • Complete the education required to obtain Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Hold a Texas Board of Nursing Registered Nurse license, or a current home-state license eligible for multistate recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
  • Hold active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of experience in a Med/Surg hospital setting.
  • Experience with patient safety best practices.

Responsibilities
