About The Position

Seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a PRN (as needed) position. This role involves working every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday) on the 6a-2:30p shift, and one major/minor holiday per year. The position is located at Baptist Health Floyd in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area. In this role, you must have knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Science, possess the skills necessary to perform high complexity testing, and have an understanding of the clinical relevance of laboratory testing and reporting. You will maintain records of performance and utilize independent judgment to generate acceptable test results within QC standards. Testing will be performed according to standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related biological science from an accredited institution.
  • ASCP or AMT certification.
  • Current students must attain ASCP/AMT certification within 18 months.
  • Must meet CLIA '88 standards to be qualified as testing personnel.

Responsibilities
