About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two years of progressively more responsible maintenance experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).

• Electrical maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all equipment in the business unit and keep it in safe operating condition.
• Perform preventive maintenance and install new equipment as required.
• Perform minor fork truck repairs as needed.
• Conduct safety inspections on equipment.
• Schedule equipment repair work based on production needs.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical problems and basic controls, including motor starters, relays, motors, and fuses.
• Fabricate fixtures, guards, or parts to maintain or improve equipment.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, or machine work needed to maintain equipment.
• Prepare purchase requisitions for repair parts and replacement stock items.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and processes.
• Maintain records of equipment repairs.
• Work independently with little supervision.
• Provide customers with the best value in cost, quality, and delivery.
• Participate in improving products, processes, equipment, and methods.
• Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external questions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
• Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.
