About The Position
The Extrusion Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring extrusion equipment to produce high-quality products according to specifications. This role ensures efficient machine performance, adherence to safety standards, and timely production to meet customer requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and measurements.
- Experience using basic hand tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of experience in extrusion or manufacturing (preferred).
- Experience with manufacturing equipment and related tools.
- Familiarity with production reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in variable temperature environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion machines according to production schedules.
- Inspect products for quality and make adjustments to maintain specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Record production data and maintain accurate logs.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
- Communicate with the Transformation Manager or Supervisor regarding production status and issues.
- Assist in process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
