Crestwood's Crisis Stabilization Unit is a program that isbased in a recovery-focused environment where children, adolescents and adults in crisis are welcomed into a calm, warm, compassionate environment so that they may be assessed and provided mental health stabilization services, medication evaluation, management and linkages to a wide-range of outpatient and inpatient mental health services.
Requirements
- Current licensure in California as an LVN or LPT.
- Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
- Ability to supervise.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members.
- Current CPR and first aid certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in mental health nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct nursing care to the clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within their scope of practice.
- Provide direction to non-licensed personnel in providing direct client care and operating the unit.
