About The Position
Montebello Care Center is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) to join their team. This role is responsible for putting resident service first and ensuring residents and their families receive the highest quality care. Under the direction of a registered nurse, the LVN/LPN will deliver a full range of nursing care, including admitting, transferring, and discharging residents; conducting daily rounds to observe resident status; administering medications; monitoring unlicensed staff; maintaining resident care information confidentiality; and promoting a culture of safety.
Requirements
- LVN / LPN with current licensure to practice in the state
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of computer use or willingness to learn
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
- Nursing experience providing direct care to multiple residents
- Behavioral care / memory care experience
- Experience with Point Click Care (PCC)
Responsibilities
- Admitting, transferring, and discharging residents
- Conducting daily rounds to observe the resident’s physical and emotional status
- Medication administration
- Monitoring resident care provided by unlicensed staff
- Maintaining the confidentiality of all resident care information
- Promoting a culture of safety to ensure a healthy practice and living environment
