Assist the Lead Maintenance Worker/Equipment Operator and under general supervision, performs skilled maintenance of facilities, buildings, grounds and equipment at various sites. This role involves conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment, handling basic repairs and maintenance, and learning to operate various pieces of large equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations. The position requires operating trucks of various sizes and weights for loading, hauling, and unloading equipment, materials, and supplies. Responsibilities also include operating trucks and construction or power equipment such as backhoes, man-lifts, bulldozers, dump trucks, snowplows, road graders, front-end loaders, excavators, or skid steers. Additionally, the role involves digging ditches and trenches for pipe installation and other projects, performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment, cleaning and maintaining equipment, plowing snow and salting roads when directed, and laying out, assembling, installing, inspecting, examining, testing, modifying, cleaning, and maintaining pipe systems. The employee must perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards and abide by all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as all company safety procedures.
