Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Regularly required to stand and walk.
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.
Occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Responsibilities

Every employee is expected to promote a safe work environment and safe job performance by actively participating in all plant safety programs as directed by the Management.
Perform general manual labor throughout the Plant and Quarry as directed.
Including but not limited to shoveling, sweeping, vacuuming, jackhammering, etc.
Report any environmental issues.
Report any safety issues/concerns.
Assist in any other activities as required
Fill in when trained as needed for other classifications containing vacancies.
