About The Position
This position is primarily responsible for processing and analyzing a variety of biological samples obtained from patients under the direction of a general supervisor, department supervisor or designated technologist.
Requirements
- Approved course in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited college or other recognized institution preferred.
- An Associate Degree is required.
- Must be licensed as a Medical Laboratory Technician by the State of Tennessee.
- Clinical Laboratory experience is desired, but consideration may be given to recent graduates.
- Candidates with Associate's Degree are preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures and the ability to operate technical equipment as acquired through orientation.
- The Medical Laboratory Technician must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients assigned.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical Laboratory experience is desired, but consideration may be given to recent graduates.
