About The Position

Requirements

• Physically able to work within a construction environment; including extensive walking, climbing, confined spaces, elevated work areas and lifting of tools and equipment up to 40lbs.
• Typically requires at least 6 months of industrial construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
• Perform work as directed by Foreman and Journeymen Fitters.
• Assist fitters with assemble, mount and installs control panels, instruments, associated sensing devices that measure, indicate, transmit, record and control.
• Assemble and install instrument stands, brackets, trays, clamps and hangers as required to properly secure instrumentation and other associated components.
• Measure, cut, thread and install small bore piping typically associated with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Assist with tubing bending and installation.
• Perform pressure testing of installed tubing and small bore pipe as required to prove integrity of system.
• Work in a timely manner, accurately per instructions and, maintain an orderly and clean work area.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment and instrumentation (both installed and pre-installed).
