About The Position

The Instrument Fitter installs, services, and repairs pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, working to meet customer specifications neatly, accurately, and on time. The role involves interpreting technical diagrams, fabricating and installing tubing and support systems, and finding solutions that meet customer requirements. Work is performed with minimal supervision in an industrial environment and may involve time-sensitive tasks.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret P&ID, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams for installation.
• Ability to lay out, measure, and bend tubing according to drawing specifications and design packages.
• Ability to understand customer requirements quickly and present suitable solutions.
• Knowledge of various pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to perform the listed functions with minimal supervision.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; the organization cannot consider candidates who require visa sponsorship or transfer of an existing visa.

• High school diploma or GED desired.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret P&ID, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams to perform installations.
• Lay out, measure, and bend tubing to drawing specifications and design packages to ensure safe, functional systems.
• Understand customer requirements quickly and present solutions that meet their needs.
• Measure, cut, and assemble tubing trays and support systems.
• Install tubing and clamps into tubing tray systems.
• Measure, cut, ream, bend, assemble, and install single lines and groups of tubing.
• Use trade tools proficiently.
• Recognize and avoid safety hazards.
