About The Position
As a Temporary Ballot Tabulation Center (BTC) Inspector, you facilitate the election process by organizing and processing ballots, providing guidance, and performing data entry. Maricopa County Elections serves over 2.5 million registered voters as they exercise their right to make informed decisions regarding the selection of local and national leaders and ballot measures. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be a registered voter or have the ability to become a registered voter in the State of Arizona by the time of hire
- Must be an Independent or Party Not Designated registered voter
- Must pass an applicable background screening
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary
- Must have legible penmanship
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of general office experience
- One or more years of moderate computer use experience
- One or more years of election experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Responsibilities
- Assists Adjudication teams when they are unsure about a voter’s intent by providing guidance and clarification
- Stands throughout the assignment, moving between teams as necessary to provide guidance
- Maintains accurate and legible documentation of ballot processing
- Assists other divisions within Elections or the Recorder’s Office with daily operations and additional job duties as assigned
