About The Position

JOIN OUR DYNAMIC PHARMACY TEAM AS A PHARMACY TECHNICIAN, WHERE YOU'LL PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN SUPPORTING MEDICATION DISTRIBUTION FOR BOTH INPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT CARE. THIS POSITION IS IDEAL FOR SOMEONE WHO THRIVES IN A FAST-PACED HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENT, VALUES PRECISION, AND IS PASSIONATE ABOUT PATIENT SAFETY AND CARE.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Registered Maryland Board of Pharmacy Technician (required)
  • Must obtain Maryland license within 30 days if licensed in another state
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology

Nice To Haves

  • Previous pharmacy technician experience (preferred)
  • National certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and delivering medications accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain inventory systems including Pyxis stock and CII safe
  • Repackage medications and support unit dose systems
  • Perform monthly medication checks to ensure quality and compliance
  • Clean and disinfect the pharmacy clean room per established protocols
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients
  • Uphold safety standards and regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, Maryland Board of Pharmacy, USP 795/800)
  • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
