About The Position
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. This is a per-diem opportunity. EMTs assess patients, determine necessary care, and provide emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. They document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights. EMTs help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment and use appropriate EMT skills with communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools. The role also operates an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws, works collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs, and participates in community programs to support AMR’s image and community relations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- State EMT license.
- State driver’s license.
- BLS certification.
- NREMT.
- Driving record compliant with company policy.
- Pass the Physical Agility Test.
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.
