About The Position

Requirements

• Minimum High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• PA AEMT license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the AEMT level
• EMSVO within 30 days of hire
• Valid Driver's License
• CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Nice To Haves

• ITLS/PHTLS, ABLS, ASLS.
• 1 year experience in the field of prehospital care

Responsibilities

• Drives emergency vehicle.
• Determines nature and extent of illness or injury; provide advanced life support and transport to the critically ill and injured in the prehospital setting. Advanced life support to include airway/ventilation/oxygenation, cardiovascular circulation, immobilization, medication administration--routes, and IV initiation/maintenance fluids.
• Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards.
• Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS and ALS and has accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Benefits
