About The Position
The Physical Plant at Massanutten Resort is looking for an experienced Electrician. This position requires complete understanding of single and three-phase electrical repair, wiring and installation, 120v to 460v, a valid driver’s license with an approved driving record, and willingness to obtain a VA State Electrical license (if needed). To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily as well as ability to diagnose and make repairs or new installations, follow safety codes, understand procedure manuals, and other guidelines and company standards. Salary is negotiable and based on experience. This is a Monday through Friday job with occasional weekends. Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Complete understanding of single and three-phase electrical repair, wiring and installation, 120v to 460v
- Valid driver’s license with approved driving record
- Willingness to obtain a VA State Electrical license (if needed)
- General knowledge of every cycle and its components such as accurately read schematics and blueprints
- General building maintenance- residential or commercial
- Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs
- Good communications skills
- Proactive problem solver focused on delivering excellent customer service and continuously identifying opportunities for growth
- Drivers (Required)
- Willingness to obtain VA State Journeyman license
Nice To Haves
- High school or equivalent (preferred)
- VA State electrical license
- VA State Journeyman license (prefer or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and make repairs or new installations
- Follow safety codes
- Understand procedure manuals, and other guidelines and company standards
- Maintain/clean company vehicle inventory in the vehicle
- Other duties as assigned by management
