About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team, primarily working 2nd and 3rd shifts. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems within the plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical principles, PLC systems, and industrial equipment maintenance.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC’s & AC/DC Drives.
  • Proficiency in using PLC and drive software.
  • Ability to run electrical circuits and panels.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of electrical testing instruments, power hand tools, soldering equipment, pipe benders and threading, safety devices, miscellaneous hand tools, lift trucks, cranes, and man lifts.
  • Knowledge of AC and DC motors, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment, power distribution and control circuits, PLC logic and controls, conduit and fittings, wire and cable, hardware, insulation, solder, repair and replacement parts.
  • Walking or standing 80% of the shift.
  • Some lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing required.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
  • Ability to work in an Industrial Mill Environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to operate mobile equipment including but not limited to forklifts and cranes.
  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to work multiple shifts as needed.
  • Read micrometers, calipers and other measurement devices.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Siemen’s PLC’s & Drives experience a plus.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, install, and wire all electrical apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltage in the plant or assigned areas.
  • Work in a safe manner, follow safety rules and documents, and wear required PPE.
  • Maintain software for PLC and drive systems, including upgrades and Rockwell activations.
  • Run electrical circuits and panels.
  • Organize material on machines as scheduled.
