About The Position
As a Part-Time Direct Support Professional, you will provide hands-on support, guidance, and encouragement to adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. You’ll help residents develop daily living skills, independence, and confidence while creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment.
Requirements
- 20 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass State and Federal Criminal Background Checks
- Drug screen, pre-employment physical, and PPD
- Complete all required orientation and pre-service training
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as cooking, housekeeping, shopping, budgeting, and hygiene
- Support residents in learning social, coping, and community integration skills
- Provide guidance on healthy living and personal medical care
- Mentor and encourage friendship building and community participation
- Promote independence and autonomy while maintaining a safe environment
