About The Position

DaVita is hiring a Dialysis Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease at our Ridge Park Dialysis outpatient clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. To maintain your full-time hours you may need to Float and assist at our Rockside Dialysis in Independence, Ohio and our Parma Heights Dialysis locations. As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment. The clinic uses Fresenius machines and has 13 chairs. The shifts are scheduled with 1 RN and 2-3 Dialysis Techs. Hours of work may vary during the training period; however, you will typically be working between 32-40 hours per week during training. You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. DaVita offers all new dialysis teammates a robust, paid training program to help you learn the right dialysis skills. The training is a mix of classroom and hands-on training. Reimbursement for your Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license. Our PCTs also find DaVita professionally fulfilling. Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic with a class of new teammates other than your assigned home clinic.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
  • Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
  • Willing to float between local clinics if needed
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
  • Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
  • Record vital signs and patient data
  • Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
  • Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
