About The Position
Centurion is seeking a part-time Dentist to provide comprehensive dental treatment for incarcerated patients at the North Idaho Correctional Institution in Cottonwood, Idaho. This role involves one ten-hour shift per week and focuses on addressing the oral health needs of the patient population, including routine exams, extractions, restorations, prosthetic services, prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, and endodontic treatments. Working in a correctional setting offers a unique and rewarding experience with a diverse patient population in a secure environment, free from insurance and reimbursement complexities.
Requirements
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited program
- Valid Idaho dental license
- Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
Nice To Haves
- Experience in providing comprehensive dental services in a correctional, community health, or indigent environment preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive professional dental treatment to address the oral health needs of incarcerated patients.
- Perform routine recall exams.
- Conduct simple extractions.
- Perform restorations.
- Provide prosthetic services.
- Perform prophylaxis.
- Administer fluoride treatments.
- Conduct endodontic treatments.
