About The Position

This position will deliver to all types of customers, including Foodservice. The driver will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (greater than 10,000 lbs but less than 26,000 lbs -- D10K) to deliver product to stores. Responsibilities include rotating and stocking product on shelves, displays, in coolers, and vending equipment. The role also involves building small displays, setting up promotional materials, and generating invoices. Daily settlement of cash and charges is required. Frequent interaction with store management and receiving personnel for load acceptance is expected. The job requires significant physical activity, including repeatedly lifting and loading cases (20-45 pounds), pushing/pulling (40-150 pounds), reaching, squatting, and bending. Product is unloaded from the delivery vehicle using an electronic pallet jack or 2-wheel hand truck and moved to a designated backroom area.

Requirements

  • 21 years or older
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License
  • Valid DOT Medical Card required

Nice To Haves

  • Merchandising products (for example, filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive on shelves, rotating product, cleaning shelves, or eliminating out of stocks and out of date products)
  • Using equipment to aid in hauling loads (for example, operating pallet jacks, using dock plates, or using load bars and straps)
  • Operating equipment (pallet jacks, lift gates on trailers, hand trucks, breakdowns, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver product and execute all promotions
  • Service all scheduled customers by the end of shift
  • Merchandise all accounts to local standards
  • Establish positive working relationships with primary contact at each account
  • Safely operate a small Commercial Motor Vehicle (greater than 10,000 lbs but less than 26,000 lbs -- D10K)
  • Drive the delivery vehicle and deliver product to the store
  • Rotate and stock product on store shelves, displays, in coolers and vending equipment
  • Build small displays and set up promotional materials
  • Generate invoice and be responsible for daily settlement of cash and charges
  • Unload pallets of product from the delivery vehicle with an electronic pallet jack or 2 wheel hand truck, and put the product in a designated area in the stores' backroom
